How it works

That's right, a pan in a different shape.

The 304 stainless steel used in this container is exactly the same as your steel pan, just a different shape and thickness. Even the lid is steel, so you can cook with it on.

Why it works

The only container that follows the food through the cook step

Every other container has a part that can't take the heat — a silicone gasket, a plastic clip, a glass body, or a low-grade stainless steel. Four design choices let this one handle dinner, leftovers and the daily cycle in between.

The all-steel friction-fit lid lifted above an open Loopware 1.0L stainless steel container — no silicone gasket or plastic clip, with the use icons engraved on the body

The steel lid, with no other material

The friction-fit lid is the same verified 304 stainless steel as the body — no silicone gasket, no plastic clip, no cheaper grade hiding on top. Rest it on while cooking, then press it on for flat fridge or freezer storage. There is no seal or clip to remove, clean or replace.

Genuine SS304 stamping pressed into both the base and the lid of a Loopware stainless steel container

304 steel withstands the daily cycle

Cooking, freezing and dishwashing repeatedly expose the container to heat, moisture and salt. That is why the body and lid use corrosion-resistant 304 (18/8) stainless steel, independently verified as genuine 304 — not a lower, unspecified grade.

Several Loopware stainless steel containers nested inside one another, with their flat steel lids stacked separately alongside

You need more than one. So Loopware containers nest perfectly.

Dinner in one, leftovers in another, tomorrow's batch in a third. Same-size containers nest inside each other, the 1.0L nests inside the 1.6L, and the flat lids stack separately. Several containers take one cupboard slot.

Made for years of work — guaranteed for life

The body is one piece of steel, with no coating to peel and no seal to replace. It can dent, but it does not shatter like glass. A lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects backs the container for as long as you own it.

Verified safe for food

Cooked in acid. No harmful elements migrated out.

Anyone can print "food-grade" on a box. We paid an independent lab to prove ours — under cooking conditions, not just storage conditions: an acidic test liquid held at a rolling boil for four hours, three times over.

22 metals screened

Lead, mercury and nickel included — after four hours at a rolling boil, three times over: not detected.

Genuine 304, proven

The alloy analysed element by element: 18.2% chromium, 8.0% nickel — body and lid, exactly as engraved.

Zero taste transfer

Steel's classic worry is a metallic tang. A trained panel boiled water in it for four hours, then tasted it against pure water: nothing crossed over — no taste, no smell.

Made to last, then fully recyclable

Zero Waste By Design

About 95% of stainless steel is recycled at the end of its life, according to worldstainless, the industry's global body. The Loopware container's body and lid are both 304 stainless steel, with no silicone gasket, plastic clip or coating to separate first. When the container eventually reaches the end of its useful life, both parts can enter metal recycling together and be melted back into steel without downcycling.

What the first buyers are saying

  • Cook in it, store in it — cottage pie, lasagne, batch meals straight to the freezer.
  • Escaping plastic and silicone — that's why most bought it. They say it lives up to it.
  • Washes properly clean — no stains, no curry smells, no gasket to trap them.
  • Used beyond the brief — an air-fryer tray, a barbecue dish, freezer to oven with no thermal shock.

Better yet

This container pays for itself.

Buy it once and the container will keep rewarding you for the rest of its lifetime.

An electric oven heats a whole cavity of air to cook one dinner — about 1.2 kWh. The same dinner, simmered under a steel lid on the hob, uses roughly a quarter of that: about 0.30 kWh.

At today's price cap, that's about 32p in the oven against 8p on the hob — so you save around 24p a dinner. Swap five oven dinners a week and that's about £62 a year off your electricity bill, for as long as you own it.

Loopware energy saving receipt — an electric-oven dinner for two costs about 32p; the same dinner cooked on the hob in a Loopware container costs about 8p; you save about 24p a dinner, about £62 a year.

Q&A

What can I cook in it?

More than you'd expect from one container — whole meals, mains, sides, rice and other carbs, even baking like bread and cakes, plus dishes from around the world. We add new recipes to the Cook with Loopware library on our website all the time, so keep an eye there for fresh ideas. Add oil or liquid where a recipe needs it, start on a low heat or use the oven, and never heat the container empty.

Can I cook in it AND store the leftovers in it?

Yes. Cook and serve from the container, let the leftovers cool, then press on the steel lid and store them in the fridge or freezer. Reheat in the same container on the hob or in the oven.

Does it stain or smell like my plastic ones?

Stainless steel does not absorb food colour or odour like plastic. Curry and tomato residue wash away. High heat or burned food can leave cosmetic marks, but they do not affect how the container works.

What sizes are there, and how fast is delivery?

The Starter Set includes one 1.0L and one 1.6L container. UK delivery is free, and your delivery date is shown at checkout.

What if I don't get on with it?

Send it back within 30 days for a full refund — we pay the return postage. And it's covered by our lifetime guarantee against genuine defects for as long as you own it.

Can I use this container in a microwave?

No. It's stainless steel, and metal can't go in a microwave. Reheat on the hob or in the oven instead. If microwave reheating is essential to how you eat, this isn't the right container for you.

Why does 304 stainless steel work on an induction hob?

Annealed 304 stainless steel is non-magnetic, but deep-drawing the container transforms some of the steel into strain-induced martensite, which is ferromagnetic. The drawn Loopware container is therefore weakly magnetic — enough for many induction hobs to couple, especially at 0.4 mm, where the induced currents concentrate through nearly the full wall thickness.

Is the lid airtight or leakproof?

No. The steel lid is friction-fit for flat home storage, not a watertight seal — dry food travels fine, but keep liquids upright and level, and don't carry loose liquids in a bag.
