The everyday food cycle
Freeze batch cooking flat in the container. When it is time to reheat, remove or loosen the lid while cold, start on a low heat and bring the food fully up to temperature.
The same steel vessel can move through storage, reheating, serving and washing, with less decanting between containers.
A small detail that matters
If you prefer to reheat in your own pan, run the outside of the steel container briefly under the tap. Steel carries warmth quickly, helping the frozen block release without chipping at it.
It is a simple step, but a useful one when batch cooking is part of the weekly routine.
Designed for the cupboard
Same-size containers nest together when empty and the flat steel lids stack separately. The 1.0L container also nests inside the 1.6L container.
Capacity is engraved into the steel so the size mark cannot peel or wash away. Any lid of the same capacity fits its matching container size.
Before you buy
Steel is not microwave safe. Reheat on the hob or in the oven instead. The friction-fit lid has no watertight silicone seal, so keep the container level when liquid is inside.
Those are deliberate trade-offs of a single-material, all-steel design.

Normal, and cosmetic. Cloudy white marks are usually minerals left when water or cooking liquid evaporates; blue, gold or rainbow tints are a normal heat-related change in the steel's protective oxide film — not a coating peeling away — and they don't affect cooking performance. To remove them, let the container cool, wipe with diluted white vinegar on a soft cloth, then wash, rinse and dry. Avoid chlorine bleach, ordinary steel wool and harsh abrasive cleaners.
