Product performance varies by construction and manufacturer. Follow the care instructions supplied with each product.

One material

Nothing hidden in the lid.

Look at the lid of most sealed stainless steel boxes and you will find a silicone gasket or plastic clip. It creates a watertight seal, but it also makes the product a mix of materials.

Loopware takes a simpler route: a steel body and a friction-fit steel lid. There is no gasket channel to clean and no separate seal to replace.

The everyday food cycle

From freezer to hob or oven.

Freeze batch cooking flat in the container. When it is time to reheat, remove or loosen the lid while cold, start on a low heat and bring the food fully up to temperature.

The same steel vessel can move through storage, reheating, serving and washing, with less decanting between containers.

A small detail that matters

Frozen solid? Release it under the tap.

If you prefer to reheat in your own pan, run the outside of the steel container briefly under the tap. Steel carries warmth quickly, helping the frozen block release without chipping at it.

It is a simple step, but a useful one when batch cooking is part of the weekly routine.

Designed for the cupboard

The containers nest. The lids stack.

Same-size containers nest together when empty and the flat steel lids stack separately. The 1.0L container also nests inside the 1.6L container.

Capacity is engraved into the steel so the size mark cannot peel or wash away. Any lid of the same capacity fits its matching container size.

Before you buy

What all-steel does not do.

Steel is not microwave safe. Reheat on the hob or in the oven instead. The friction-fit lid has no watertight silicone seal, so keep the container level when liquid is inside.

  • Do not use in a microwave.
  • Not leakproof; keep liquids horizontal.
  • Remove or loosen the lid before heating.
  • Use oven gloves or suitable protection after heating.

Those are deliberate trade-offs of a single-material, all-steel design.

Product questions

Is the lid watertight?

No. The friction-fit steel lid is designed for storage, reheating and nesting, not leakproof transport.

Can it go on an induction hob?

Yes. Start on a low heat, remove or loosen the lid while cold, and handle the hot steel with suitable protection.

Can it go in a microwave?

No. Metal containers must not be used in a microwave.

Why has my Loopware developed cloudy or rainbow marks?

Normal, and cosmetic. Cloudy white marks are usually minerals left when water or cooking liquid evaporates; blue, gold or rainbow tints are a normal heat-related change in the steel's protective oxide film — not a coating peeling away — and they don't affect cooking performance. To remove them, let the container cool, wipe with diluted white vinegar on a soft cloth, then wash, rinse and dry. Avoid chlorine bleach, ordinary steel wool and harsh abrasive cleaners.

Do the containers nest?

Yes. Same-size containers nest together, and the 1.0L body nests inside the 1.6L body. The flat lids stack separately.

Can I return it if I change my mind?
